Divergent NCA Oversight – Please provide input until 31 Mar

Added at:

Dear Members and Industry Colleagues,

EASA has formally requested a report regarding experiences with divergent oversight practices among National Competent Authorities (NCAs) across EASA member states.

The primary focus of this initiative is to identify inconsistencies in how Continuing Airworthiness Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 is enforced. As this directly impacts our aircraft maintenance operations and regulatory compliance, your practical insights are vital.

To ensure a comprehensive representation of the challenges faced in the field, we kindly ask you to contribute to the attached document. While several examples have already been compiled, we require your expertise to:

  • Add further points that you consider relevant to aircraft maintenance and airworthiness oversight.
  • Introduce additional sub-items where specific regulatory nuances require clarification.
  • Share practical experiences regarding how differing NCA interpretations affect our daily maintenance activities.

Action Required: Please submit your feedback using the Divergent NCA Oversight Feedback From to vpgovernment@eamtc.org by the end of March. This will allow us to consolidate the data and forward the final input to the relevant parties in a timely manner.

Thank you for your cooperation and your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory alignment.

Kind Regards,

Murat Köse
