Dear members,

EASA has initiated a task to develop options for a new definition of Complex Motor-Powered Aircraft (Regulation (EU) 965/2012). As part of this task, EASA is launching a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis to collect respondents input to better understand the challenges of CMPA and gather data and information that will help in assessing the impacts that would stem from revisiting the current definition of CMPA.

Please refer to the attached reference document “Commission Implementing Regulation 2025/111 amending-Regulation (EU) 1321/2014” with the latest CMPA-Definition from January 24, 2025.  2025-0124-CIR-2025-111-EU-1321-2014-CMPA-Def

Since this survey is addressed to Member States Advisory Body (MAB) and to the industry via Stakeholder Advisory Body (SAB) and Community Steering Groups (CSTG’s) please send us your comments for a consolidated industry response as EAMTC. Your inputs or comments should be mailed to Carlos (carlos.unger@terra.com.br) for compilation.

The deadline for completing the survey is 27 June 2025.

We kindly request EAMTC members to respond before 18th of June to allow for the proper compilation of the collected data.

Thanking you in advance for your comments.
