About the event
We are proud to announce Leonardo Helicopters as our host for the 82nd General Assembly.
With over a century of experience in aerospace and more than 70 years in the rotorcraft sector, Leonardo stands at the forefront of innovation in vertical lift domain trough areas of technological excellence, global commercial and international industrial footprint, a modern and comprehensive range of systems and solutions for all main applications in the civil and government markets.
Our journey in the rotorcraft sector began in the early 1950s across various locations in Europe. Over the decades we were all brought together over decades by industrial excellence, design, manufacturing, and world class products. By the 1960s, we had established a foundation for our global reach, exporting helicopters produced under license to markets worldwide. In the 1980s, we took our international ambitions further by expanding our industrial presence globally, including the establishment of our Philadelphia operations in 1980 to focus on the growing Americas market.
Over the last 20+ years, we have integrated industrial expertise and heritage from Italy, the UK, Poland, and Switzerland, creating a unified capability that is second to none. Today, Leonardo’s helicopters operate in more than 150 countries, supporting different missions. From the 1.8-ton single-engine category to 16-ton three-engine aircraft, the company’s vertical flight solutions are the most advanced and include comprehensive technical assistance and training services to enable operators to carry out their missions efficiently and safely. As well as the full spectrum of capabilities to develop fundamental vertical flight technologies, Leonardo’s range of solutions also includes remotely piloted aircraft and tiltrotors, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation in air mobility and for every mission requirement.
Safety and professionalism have always been Leonardo’s priority. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Leonardo helicopters, our mission is to provide outstanding flight and maintenance training enabling our customers to achieve the highest level of safety and efficiency in the operation and maintenance of their aircraft. We integrate proven expertise from other similar projects to enhance and tailor the Training Content to the customers’ actual needs. The offered training solutions use a combination of tried and tested sub-systems. Featuring the latest synthetic training devices combined with a comprehensive program of training courses for air crew, rear crew, ground crew and maintainers Leonardo, acting through its Training Academy, is confident that the proposed approach will provide a reliable and efficient system. The available courses range from basic training for unskilled personnel to specialized training for skilled personnel.
